This project questions our materialistic culture and the nature of design through playful forms of natural dye. With the continuous cycle of mass production and materialism spread globally, this collection draws from a concept of simplicity or locality, “grow your own”.  Freed from the restraints of human hands, these prints were created by friendly local snails achieving low-tech originality, enabled only by the sacrifice of control to these small and seemingly insignificant creatures.
